Eggshells

I had actually heard about this story on TikTok before reading it, so I think I went into it with slightly higher expectations. The concept of hatchlings immediately caught my attention, and I was curious to see where the author would take such a strange idea.

What I found interesting was how something that should perhaps feel unnatural or disturbing could also inspire curiosity. I kept wanting to understand more about the hatchlings, their existence, and what they might represent. There was something about the concept that felt like it could be explored in so many different directions.

I also wondered whether the story was trying to say something about the way we respond to things we don't understand. There's often this instinct to categorize something as strange or frightening simply because it's unfamiliar. I would've liked to see that idea explored a little further, especially through the characters' reactions.

Unfortunately, I think the story was simply too short for me. I didn't necessarily need every question answered, but I wanted more time to sit with the concept and understand its implications. I finished it feeling more curious than satisfied, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I think this particular idea deserved a little more space.
